ABOUT
Some things can't be mass-produced — the weight of a hand-woven textile, the patina on a vintage find, the quiet story behind an organically dyed cloth. House of Wen exists for people who feel the difference.
Every piece in the shop is hand-sourced directly from makers and markets across East and Southeast Asia — selected not just for beauty, but for the craft and cultural heritage behind it. When you bring a House of Wen piece into your home, you're not just adding a pillow. You're adding a place, a tradition, and a story.
NAMESAKES
Our family surname is written as 温 (Wen) - a character that translates as warm, gentle, or soft depending on context.
Every piece we carry, every space we help create, comes back to that same intention: warmth you can feel.
ORIGIN STORIES
In the mid-90s, my family lived on Lamma Island — a small, rustic gem just off the coast of Hong Kong — where my mother ran a shop filled with Indonesian crafts she personally selected on buying trips to her native Bali. Suitcases and wooden crates would arrive filled with vibrant batik textiles, carved wooden sculptures, and one-of-a-kind accessories.
House of Wen is a continuation of that spirit. Drawing on my background in interior design and a childhood spent traveling across Asia — from Beijing's hutongs to the bustling streets of Denpasar — I traverse the region searching for textiles and treasures that carry the same depth my mother taught me to look for.
